These were Oma Ruth's specialty. The perfect simple cookie, great with a cup of tea or coffee. These were always in her house in the cookie jar. We believe this was her family recipe that somehow she remembered through the war.

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Mazola oil
3 eggs (room temperature)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
Pinch of baking soda
Flour as needed - about 4 cups
HOW TO:
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream sugar and oil.
Add eggs 1 at a time.
Add remaining ingredients.
Knead with hands.
Roll it out like a snake.
Paint/brush with 1 egg.
Bake 12-22 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
